Adios Mario

Mario Dumont and his ADQ party are on a serious downhill slide. I am not sure that it can be stopped. The by-elections that took place on Monday proved that he is almost over.
The best that he did is finish third in one of the ridings, and in one of the them he actaully came in fifth place, behind the Green Party. No matter how you spin it, it is not good for him. It was only a few by-elections but his party is also sliding big time in the polls. There is way too much in-fighting in the party and that does not inspire confidence.
Although his party almost won the elections of March 2007, nothing ever came of it. They have not been very proactive at building a party, that may be due to all the internal fighting amongst themselves I think. Mr Dumont did not have a team back in March 2007 and he still does not have one today.
The main problem is that he wants to be a one man party, and the electors are starting to see through his game, they are realizing that it is just smoke and mirrors, no real substance.
